Berlin - Hackescher Markt, Hackesche Höfe. 18 May 2012.

The last day was Friday and also the only day with somewhat warm weather. We looked at the elevator aquarium in Radisson Blu (cool) and walked onwards towards Hackescher Markt and Hackesche Höfe. Hackesche Höfe was so pretty with all the little court yards and foliage growing on the houses. Lastly we took a range of buses and trams up to Pratergarten, a Biergarten in Prenzlauer Berg. They had lamp girlands in the trees. What more is there to say? I can only imagine how pretty it must look at night.

We ate cake (I really want to say that we "fikade" since it is the perfect word) at Buchwald Konditorei. It was really pretty, had the aura of an old person's living room. By the way, the underground station at Bellevue must be one of the prettier.

More shrubbery (and some houses too)

Last week my family and I visited Berlin, it was green but cold. We lived just by KaDeWe even though we spent most of the time on the eastern side. The first day we took the underground up to Brandenburger Tor where we waited for who we though was the new President of France, but it ended up being the President of Afghanistan, not to bad that either. We spent the rest of the day walking around in Mitte watching touristy things. As one should when visting a brand new city.
